Honey Rye, the first release in our House Blend Series, launches this Saturday, June 10 from 12 – 3 pm!
Honey Rye will be followed by Maple Rye in July, Honey Bourbon in August and finally Maple Bourbon in September.
Our House Blend label features the iconic 1914 home of the Hayner family. Today it is known as the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center, a creative and lively community arts center. That is the inspiration for our House Blend Series. Our House Blend Series adds creative barrel finishes and unique blends to our award winning Hayner whiskeys.
For our Honey Rye Whiskey we collaborated with Timber Ridge Honey in Willoughby, Ohio. Timber Ridge placed their honey in one of our empty barrels to soak up the whiskey flavors. The barrel was then returned to Hayner, dripping with honey, and we placed our Rye whiskey in the barrel for 3 months.
The result is a smooth and sweet Rye whiskey with amazing notes of honey on the finish.
Honey Rye is 114 proof and is priced at $59.95. It goes on sale Saturday, June 10 from 12 – 3 at our bottle shop located at 619 Lincoln Ave in Troy. Honey Rye is a permanent product for Hayner but our first batch is limited to 140 bottles.
