Good morning RJ,
Today, we’re beginning with some good news for Central Arizona College culinary students out in Maricopa, who came a little closer to achieving their dreams of establishing a scholarship for culinary students thanks to a recent car show put on by the Mise En Place culinary club. The weekend car show brought in about $1,000, bringing the college’s culinary club one step closer to its $25,000 goal. Here’s how much they’ve raised so far.
Of course, water has been on the mind of many Arizonans over the last few years, and Arizona City residents are no different. Representatives from Arizona Water Company did their best to give attendees at the Arizona City Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon insight on what the company is doing to provide better service, as well as conserve water, in the areas they serve.
There has also been a bit of concerning news this week for parents and students at a Maricopa elementary school, as Maricopa police are investigating reports of a man who allegedly approached and touched a Butterfield Elementary School student without permission. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact police. |
