Join Us for Our April Monthly Meeting TONIGHT!

It is not too late to join us for our virtual April Monthly Meeting TONIGHT, Monday, April 24th from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM as we talk to RAFT, The Regional Older Adults Facility Mental Health Team. RAFT’s interactive presentation will cover normal parts of aging, what is not mormal as it relates to depression and dementia, signs and symptoms, and resources for individuals.

Leader Trainings

There is ONE MORE NAMI Virginia early 2023 Program Leader Training! If you have benefitted from one of our NAMI signature support & education programs, and feel like you would like to give back and help provide hope for others, we are currently accepting applications for new NAMI Program Leaders! Program Leaders are dedicated and trained volunteers, committed to helping us lead our local programs. NAMI Virginia has scheduled training dates for NAMI Peer-to-Peer class facilitators, NAMI Family-to-Family class facilitators, and NAMI Family Support Group facilitators. If you have been a participant in any of these programs and would like to apply, fill out our volunteer interest survey, linked below!

Rice Properties Group’s annual charity run has raised nearly $30,000 for NAMI Northern Virginia.

Join RPG and the community on Saturday, May 6 for the RPG Charity Fun Run/5K and BBQ for Mental Health Awareness!

Check in starts at 9:15 AM and the race starts at 10:00 AM at Algonkian Park, Shelter 1 (47001 Fairway Dr, Sterling, VA 20165). Lunch from Willards BBQ to follow.

In benefit of NAMI Northern Virginia

Join NAMI Northern Virginia and our partners at this year’s Aging Unbound conference on Wednesday, May 31 from 10 AM-2PM in Burke, VA. Celebrating Older Americans Month, we will focus on the positive aspects of growing older, why everyone has a role to play in combating ageism–and how we all benefit when older adults remain engaged, independent, and included in their communities.
