The town of Florence hired a new community services director to oversee parks, recreation programming and more. Paul King will take over the position, bringing more than 26 years of parks and recreation experience with him to Florence.
Also, in Florence, the town council discussed limiting free landfill trips for residents. Currently, town trash customers may make unlimited trips to the landfill. However, according to guidance given to town staff, residents could be limited to 18 trips per year.
