A 2-year-old girl died after being pulled from a pool in Maricopa last week. According to reports, Maricopa Police and Maricopa Fire and Medical Department crews responded to a child drowning on West Adobe Circle. MPD is investigating the incident.
Meanwhile, in Arizona news, the Attorney General’s Office has entered into a partnership with the Inter Tribal Council of Arizona to combat human trafficking. The partnership will launch a new program geared toward developing a curriculum to create awareness and prevention resources on human trafficking and missing and murdered Indigenous People.
And, in Pinal County, in order to help those who help others, the Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens will be hosting a virtual caregivers workshop series. The “Powerful Tools for Caregivers Workshop” series will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays, April 5-10. |
