Peter,

Pi or pie? How about both! For one scholarship recipient, Pi Day has a dual meaning.

Jazmin, daughter of veteran Corporal Carlos M. DeHuelbes IV USMC, is a student at the Culinary Institute of America. She’s looking forward to mixing her passion of creating delicious baked goods with her love of numbers to dive into culinary math.

This sweet scholarship assistance will allow Jazmin to focus on her studies. She wants to continue as part of the National Honor Society and keep giving back to her community, and is grateful for the opportunity our supporters have made possible.

Jazmin already has her own small business making cakes and other desserts. She also has some fun dreams she’s working toward. Can you guess what her future goals are?
Jazmin is just one of the ins-pi-ring scholars that we are honored to support. You could even say that she’s a perfect recipe of the Marine Corps values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment, striving for excellence in all that she does.

Learn more about all she has planned for her future, one you help make possible.

Thank you for making stories like hers a reality, and a Happy Pi(e) Day to you!

Semper Fidelis,

Colonel Odie Van Opdorp USMC (Ret.)
