There’s a major mental health bill moving through the New Jersey state legislature, and we need your help to make sure it passes. If it passes, New Jersey will join 17 other states who have already passed this major legislation.
A3334/S2416 will require Medicaid to reimburse schools for behavioral health services provided for eligible students, greatly expanding access for students in need.
Across the country, students are facing mental health and substance use struggles, affecting how they learn and function. It’s imperative that all students have access to mental health care when they need it — and this New Jersey bill is a critical step toward making that access a reality for our children.
This bill will expand access to mental health care for students in need by providing schools with the resources they need to support them.
And it will help us build momentum for similar legislation in states around the country.
