Good morning RJ,
Happy Friday! We hope you have a great holiday weekend!
It’s certainly been a white Christmas for some in the country as tens of millions of Americans have endured harsh winter storms, bringing cold temperatures and heaps of snow. The National Weather Service is calling it “one of the greatest extents of winter weather warnings and advisories ever.”
Meanwhile, migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border are awaiting a key Supreme Court ruling on asylum restrictions that will affect thousands of migrants. While the migrants wait, they are not immune to the winter weather either, as they continue to be in limbo while temperatures drop.
And locally, the Maricopa Police Department received two grants from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. One grant will be used for DUI and impaired driving enforcement, and the other for speed and traffic enforcement. |
