Not everyone celebrates Christmas, but a number of religions celebrate events at the end of the year. For the second year in a row the city of Casa Grande will hold a public menorah lighting to celebrate the diversity of the community’s residents.
For others, the holidays are a reminder of those who may have passed away during the year, family that live far away or how overwhelming life can be. Maricopa Lutheran Church and Journey United Methodist Fellowship are hosting their Blue Christmas service again this year to help those who may be struggling this holiday season.
And, in an effort to remember all of the veterans who have passed away, Wreaths Across America will hold a wreath-laying ceremony at cemeteries in Casa Grande, Coolidge and Eloy this weekend.
