Maricopa officials are investigating after a chlorine leak at the Province Community Recreation Center pool sent four people, including a firefighter, to the hospital Wednesday morning. HAZMAT teams were called in to contain the leak. A total of 11 people where treated at the center for symptoms from the leak.
And a Douglas man got a little more jail time than he bargained for after he agreed to plead guilty to leading deputies on a high-speed chase. The man’s plea agreement called for probation, but the judge had a different opinion after seeing how much damage the man had caused during the pursuit.
On a happier note, kids everywhere will be pleased to know that the Cooltown Grinch and Santa Clause have made up their differences just in time for the holidays. The two were even spotted posing for photos together at Pita Patio. 😮 |
