Shortly after Cricket and his siblings were surrendered to our care – one of many litters we met at the height of kitten season – our accredited veterinary team searched for answers to Cricket’s small stature.
The blood work revealed a rare disorder – congenital hypothyroidism. Cricket’s depressed thyroid function delayed his nervous and skeletal system growth, but thankfully it’s very treatable when caught early. With daily medication and support from our animal-loving community, Cricket is back on his paws, exploring the world as any kitten should.
It’s the season to be there for others, and it’s our mission to always be there for an animal in need. I know if you were here, you would’ve agreed: Abandoning Cricket was not an option.
Every homeless dog, cat, puppy, and kitten deserves a full life, starting with a healthy tomorrow. That’s why I hope we can count on your lifesaving gift today.
Thank you for sharing the holidays with homeless animals. |
