I trust this email finds you well and hopefully, unlike my young children, you didn’t have too much Halloween candy last night. It is hard to believe that today is November 1st and that the holiday season will soon be upon us. While there are many days that are uniquely American, I think none more so than Election Day.
When my Dad would return from a trip somewhere in the world he would talk about how an emerging democracy had been given the ability to vote for the first time. I remember being in middle school and finding it hard to comprehend that everyone did not have the same right to vote as we do in our country.
That is why I want to urge you that if you haven’t already taken advantage of early voting in your state, please do so or plan to go to the polls on Election Day, Tuesday November 8th.
