Good morning RJ,
The tumult over an Eloy City Council seat seems to have settled. The turmoil over the seat started when former Councilmember Andrew Rodriguez was re-elected in August and then announced that he would not take the position. The council has had to sift through a number of qualified candidates to fill the empty seat and on Monday appointed a familiar face.
Meanwhile, nearby in Arizona City, Pinal County broke ground on a long-awaited expansion of the city’s library. The expansion will add 4,000 square feet to the existing 1,852 square-foot building. That’s a lot of books!
And has your kid changed their mind about what they want to be for Halloween yet? While they’re trying to decide what they want to be next, the Professional Firefighters of Casa Grande are setting up for a spooky good time with their annual haunted house. This year’s fright fest is at the Casa Grande Valley Elks Lodge ramada again and is filled with more spine-chilling, hair-raising adventure. |
