September 26, 2022
May 16-18, 2023, Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas
The best ideas for sessions at ACA Summits come from ACA members and friends. We’re searching for the best, brightest and innovative thinkers and topics among us. This is your opportunity to not only suggest topics, but also recommend speakers and how the sessions will be presented.
Please submit your proposal to ACA by October 28, 2022 (5pm Central).
Before you submit your proposals, please read the rules and details of the event – as they will help you understand the criteria.
Speakers in selected sessions will be eligible for a reduced registration rate, with the ability to bring in additional experts, both at ACA’s discretion.
ACA is the right organization to lead diversity, equity, inclusion, and access in Angel investing and entrepreneurship. We have proven our resolve and ability by moving the needle on increasing the amount and activity of women as angel investors.
“ACA has been intentional in their outreach to women. To see the growth of U.S. female Angel investors is not only satisfying but impactful, as women investors support and invest in female founders more readily than men. We are experiencing the effect: a clear expansion of the landscape of entrepreneurship and innovation,”
– Catherine Mott.

At the ACA, we have recently revamped Raw Data to Actionable Insights on our website so not only is it easier to navigate, we’ve also made the archives publicly facing so it will be easier to share the expertise of our leading angel groups.
Once a month, key learnings from angel groups are collected and analyzed around angel investments. These insights from ACA angel groups and funds are shared on a monthly basis in order to help individual angels and angel groups learn more about key trends in our industry and improve outcomes.

Looking Ahead: Upcoming ACA Events
Learn from our expert, Peter Adams, at the Ann & Bill Payne ACA Angel University following the Michigan Angel Summit on Monday, October 10, 2022.
  • Start the day with Michigan angels as the Summit is serving up topics that include where to find good deals, tax breaks on profits, banking scams to watch out for and how current market turmoil may affect your investment strategy. This year will also revisit topics on SAFE notes, common angel mistakes and company pitches.
The Ann & Bill Payne ACA Angel University and The Launch Place are bringing together angel investors and entrepreneurs to learn, share and network. This event offers a unique, immersive experience connecting angel investors and entrepreneurs.
Courses offered at AU at The Big Launch Challenge:
  • Valuation: Negotiating the current valuation of seed-stage startups at the time of investment is a critical component of angel term sheets. Getting valuation right establishes a fair percentage of ownership for both investors and entrepreneurs and optimizes returns for investing angels.
  • Term Sheet Basics: As a new angel, you’ll need to understand the term sheet, the document that outlines the terms and conditions of the agreement between the investors and the startup.
