These three extremists running for statewide office in Michigan have all supported Donald Trump’s false claim that he won the 2020 election. Michigan Republican AG candidate Matt DePerno even filed a frivolous lawsuit in an attempt to uncover a conspiracy theory about rigged vote-counting machines in Michigan’s election. And now, DePerno is bragging about his work to interfere with the tabulation machines.
We need Democratic AGs who file suits against special interests and bad actors in order to protect our communities, not AGs who are going to file lawsuits about machines with no basis.
If Trump’s GOP AG candidates like Matt DePerno are able to gain power, we’re going to see more threats on our democracy like we saw on January 6, 2021. With our freedoms on the line in less than 50 days, we need to elect Democratic AGs and candidates who will defend our elections and safeguard the right to vote, no matter what.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in 2022, we need your support – will you chip in today?
