The city of Maricopa is now in the driver’s seat when it comes to State Routes 347 and 238. The city council signed an agreement with ADOT to take over ownership, jurisdiction and maintenance of both roads within the city limits. But what does that mean for local businesses and motorists?
Speaking of motorists, a Tucson man allegedly attempted to make his own fast lane when he fled from officers at nearly 90 mph near Coolidge. Police eventually caught up with him and found four undocumented immigrants in his vehicle.
Also, a student at Casa Grande Union High School may be facing charges after a fight broke out at the school last week. One student was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. |
