Good morning RJ,
The challenges surrounding the August Primary Election continue. The county is dealing with three new legal issues connected to the election. Luckily, none of them involve the ballot errors made earlier this month. Two of the lawsuits were filed by candidates that lost their races and one is a court order calling for a recount in the Coolidge City Council election. Get all the details on the lawsuits and how the county plans to investigate the ballot errors here.
And speaking of legal issues, a Phoenix man is facing charges after leading officers on a high-speed chase on Interstate 10. He offered this excuse when officers finally caught up with him.
Also, a Casa Grande man was sentenced to 13 years in prison on Monday for fleeing from federal agents and shooting at a Border Patrol agent with a rifle. |
