Cloud computing can offer organizations faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale. When it comes to the seemingly endless possibilities of “the cloud,” no one has better insights than Dr. Timothy Chou.
Dr. Chou’s impressive background includes a return to Oracle in 1999 to become the first President of Oracle’s cloud computing business. Dr. Chou’s experiences at Oracle led to his landmark book ‘The End of Software’, released in 2004, which predicted the emerging software as a service business model. The book featured four startups, including Salesforce, VMWare, and NetSuite. Next, in 2005 Timothy returned to Stanford and started the first class on cloud computing. Most recently in 2020, he launched a company focused on delivering an edge cloud to transform pediatric healthcare.
His beloved cloud computing seminar is exclusive to Stanford and offers an exciting opportunity to hear eminent leaders discuss their vision of the future of software-powered businesses. Over 100 public company CEOs have delivered guest lectures.
