The Grande Innovation Academy described an increase in per-student funding from the state as “a beacon of light” that will enable the school to boost teacher pay and up the number of employed staff. GIA said the additional funding will allow the school to increase teacher pay by this much.

Here’s what we know so far: The first batch of election results show Eloy Mayor Micah Powell in the lead for the Eloy mayoral race, but neither candidate is ready to concede or celebrate just yet. It’s a close race for Eloy City Council candidates as well, though the latest results show challenger Michelle McKinley-Tarango and incumbent Andrew Rodriguez with a close margin lead.
