Good morning RJ,
That was some storm last night! Eloy, Toltec and Arizona City seem to have gotten the brunt of the monsoon damage with power knocked out for many residents in those areas. APS crews are working to repair the damage and get the lights back on for residents. Keep an eye on our website, www.pinalcentral.com, for more updates and a look at the weather for the rest of the week.
Prosecutors are deciding if they will pursue the death penalty against a man accused of killing a Casa Grande teen and an Eloy woman. The man allegedly shot and killed 17-year-old Danielle Murrieta and 18-year-old Leslie Cota on April 24 at a Casa Grande apartment complex.
Also, a candidate for Congressional District 6 has withdrawn her lawsuit against Pinal Countyfor a ballot error that was discovered earlier this month. The error left the names of city and town candidates off of some mail-in ballots that were sent out to early voters. |
