Joe Mantiply has been named to the National League roster for the 92nd MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard® set to take place in Los Angeles at Dodger Stadium.
This is the first All-Star selection for Mantiply, who ranks fifth among NL relievers in WHIP (0.88) and 10th in ERA (1.91). This season, Mantiply set the Major League record for most consecutive appearances by a left-hander without a walk (33 and counting), and did not give up a run in 17 straight games from May 7-June 21. He is the first D-backs reliever to make an All-Star team since Jose Valverde in 2007 and third all-time (also: Byung-Hyun Kim in 2002).
Be sure to tune in to FOX on Tuesday, July 19 at 4 p.m. MST to watch all the excitement unfold.
