My name is Cisco Aguilar and I’m running for Secretary of State here in Nevada. I jumped into this race because I believe that free, fair, and accessible elections are critical to creating the change we want to see in the world. I’m running to ensure every eligible Nevadan who wants to cast a ballot can do so as conveniently as possible.

My conviction that change in our communities, our state, and our country begins at the ballot box started at a young age. My parents are two of the hardest working people I know and they made it clear to my brothers and me that voting was something we did every election– no matter what. It wasn’t always easy for my parents to find the time to cast their ballots, but they made sure their voices were heard every election.

Over the past few years, we’ve seen voting rights rolled back in states across the country. Luckily, Nevada has been a shining example of how to securely and conveniently expand the freedom to vote. This means that hard-working Nevada families– much like my own family growing up– are able to vote in the way that works best for them.

But my opponent, Jim Marchant has plans for our state that could destroy our election system. He wants to dismantle electronic voting machines, end vote-by-mail, and end same-day voter registration. He’s even said that he would not have certified Joe Biden’s victory in 2020.

This. Is. Dangerous.
