Some relief for the current triple-digit temperatures may be on the way. Meteorologists are predicting thunderstorms for the weekend that may signal the start of the monsoon season and a risk of wildfires from lightning.
And a Pinal County lawmaker is working on legislation that could charge parents with a crime if they take their child to a drag show. Sen. Vincent Leach, R-Tucson, said he is crafting a bill after hearing complaints about a drag show last month at a Tucson high school and a Pride Night event at a Phoenix museum.
Also – this sounds terrifying – a Gold Canyon man is charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly pointed a gun and fired a shot at another vehicle during a road rage incident. The man allegedly told police he reacted after being cut off in traffic. |
