“Don’t shoot him,
mommy!”
Here’s an empowering story from one of my female readers that teaches us a VITAL LESSON about protecting ourselves and our family.
And how even a 137 pound woman can bring a 6 foot 4 muscle head on his knees…
Without taking years of “self-defense for women” martial arts classes…
It all happened when Abigail (45) took her youngest daughter to the mall for some ice cream after a hot Californian day.
The parking lot they were crossing seemed empty of people…
When suddenly, a man appeared from behind a truck and walked straight at them.
Abigail and her daughter froze.
Covered in tattoos and with a blank expression on his face, Abigail measured him at least 6 foot 2 and over 250 pounds.
She hoped he would just walk by them, but what happened next went so fast, Abigail had no time to react.
Nor could she if she wanted too…
The man snatched Abigail’s frightened daughter by the arm, and pushed Abigail effortlessly to the ground.
Then he took off with the 9-year old crying for her mother.
Shocked out of her frozen state by the fall and then her daughter’s cries, she did something the man didn’t expect…
Because no matter if you’re a 6 foot 4 muscled gorilla who can wrestle 99% of men on the streets and thinks no one is a threat to him…
Let alone a 175 pounder like Abigail.
They’re no match for an angry woman with “The Great Equalizer”.
In this case, a 9mm Springfield pistol Abigail had been carrying under her waistband, and she was now pointing at the man’s back.
The man didn’t see it, but Abigail’s daughter did and she screamed:
“Don’t shoot him, mommy!”
Despite being in mortal danger, the child probably knew what her mom was capable of and was afraid she’d see her first dead man very soon.
Her words kept Abigail from pulling the trigger.
But they also affected her kidnapper, as he stopped dead in his tracks and turned around.
And he stared right into the barrel of The Great Equalizer.
“Let my daughter go, you [censored], or I’ll shoot!”
“Hey, what are you doing? It was just a prank!” the man replied, shaken.
But as Abigail was advancing on him with her pistol aiming at him, he let go of the little girl.
“On your knees!”, she shouted.
He obeyed.
This man, who as later turned out had resisted arrest numerous times by police officers, saw no other option than to listen to this woman with her frightening voice, full of bloodlust.
Because he knew she wasn’t out to arrest him, and wouldn’t think twice about ending his life.
And so Abigail forced the humiliated man on his knees.
She kept her gun pointed at the human gorilla as arriving bystanders called the police, who made the arrest 11 minutes later.
Later, they told Abigail she was lucky, as the man was a convicted sex offender and she might have never seen her daughter again if he took off with her.
She was lucky to have her pistol and her concealed carry permit.
Every year, thousands of women in this country are victims of violent criminals.
Criminals who think that just because they’re larger and stronger, women are easy targets.
Well, Abigail proved one of them wrong.
