Good morning RJ,
Coolidge Junior High School students will have new(ish) digs and a new principal next school year. The Coolidge Unified School District has decided to move the students back to the original middle school building because enrollment at the junior high has doubled in recent years.
In crime news, a 55-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter after allegedly causing a fatal accident in April on State Route 387 near Sacaton. The man’s vehicle was traveling south when it went left of center, sideswiped a truck and hit a Jeep. The driver of the Jeep was killed.
And an Eloy man is accused of trying to blow up a vehicle with a sock. The man allegedly put a sock in the opening to the gas tank of a vehicle parked in front of a Circle K and then lit the sock on fire. The fire caused more than $2,500 in damage to the vehicle.
