Good morning RJ,

In an interesting turn of events … Pinal County Supervisor Kevin Cavanaugh was asked by his fellow supervisors to consider making cuts to his office budget at a recent meeting after he requested an additional $53,418 to run his office. By comparison, the board’s vice chairman, Jeff Serdy, asked for an office budget increase of less than $4,000.

And did you see the story about the Mesa man who led Pinal County Deputies on a pursuit through Florence farm fields? He is also allegedly dragging a deputy a short distance before attempting to jump a canal.

Also, looking to pick up a few extra bucks? Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino is offering an 8 to 10 week “dealer school” program where prospective employees can learn to master popular table games at the casino.

By the way, did you miss the Santa Cruz Valley Union High School graduation last night? Check our photo gallery. We might have a photo of your favorite graduate.
