Good morning and happy Saturday RJ,

Isn’t it interesting that art can come in so many different forms? There’s music, drawing, sculpture, photography and dancing. Even kung fu and food can be works of art.

Pinal County is full of artists who create all kinds of beautiful creations and their work can be seen all over the county, from a mural showing the history of the town of Florence to Maricopa’s Arizona American Institute For Self Defense Art.

So save a day this weekend, or the next, to explore the many different avenues of art that run through Pinal County.

Meet the ArtistLupita Barcelo-Duran from LaPita’s Kreations knows how to tell a story through food. It’s one of the first things she considers before designing a cake for a client, friend or family member.

Even if she doesn’t know much about the person she’s creating the cake for, she tries to glean as much information as possible when an order is placed.

“I get the inspiration from what each person enjoys,” she said. “It brings me joy to personalize and make it unique to any given person.”
