There’s a youth mental health crisis happening right now and we need your help to address it.
That’s why we teamed up with leading mental health organizations and created the Hopeful Futures Campaign to advocate for comprehensive mental health services in schools. Together, we measured every state’s progress on policies to support school mental health services. While some states scored better than others, every state can be doing more to support children’s mental health.
Knowledge is power, and YOU have the power to take the next steps to make things better for kids across the country — petitioning, contacting your local representative, or spreading the word on social media.
This isn’t about politics — there is always a need to improve mental health services and it will take all of us to get it done.
The lack of support for well-being checks and necessary teacher and staff training can mean one more child that is quietly suffering. This is unacceptable.
We need the proper legislation that allows each state to be equipped with the mental health services that children need. Guaranteeing these services will finally relieve the crisis that impacts millions of children.
It’s okay to not be okay. If you or someone you know needs help, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255). Crisis Text Line also provides free, 24/7, confidential support via text message to people in crisis when they text HOME to 741741.
