The attorneys for a 21-year-old Maricopa man accused of a drive-by shooting that wounded two teens in November asked the court to declare him indigent so they can hire an expert to determine if he had gunshot residue on his hands.
Also, wildfire season is underway. The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office issued an evacuation order for a community south of Prescott on Monday after a wildfire broke out near Mount Union. And a second fire was reported on Monday near Bisbee. That fire temporarily closed parts of U.S. 80.
