Voice talents with 15+ approved Samples OR a verified home studio can now immediately upload Reels (showreel compilations) to their Voquent profile. If you qualify, please use the blue button at the top of your profile to add up to 6 Reels.
Wait…you allow Reels now!?
Since we launched Voquent in mid-2018, we’ve trail-blazed casting voices with our powerful search using distinct, individual Samples exclusively. Sample-based casting reduces the need for auditions and speeds up the shortlisting and production process. The consequent adoption of audio Samples worldwide demonstrates that it’s better for customers and voice talents.
However, we’ve consistently recognised that Reels allow voice talents to show off their best work, range and versatility. The problem was how to fit them into a search that displays results based on highly detailed and accurate attributes. Having introduced a new media-player bar with featured Demos, we saw the opportunity!
What’s this about featured Demos?
Featured Demos are the top 6 Demos in your profile and are instantly accessible in the new media-player bar on searches. Featured Demos can be Reels OR Samples. If you haven’t tried the media play bar yet, check it out by playing any Demo in search. Casting directors and producers love the fluid ability to play a Demo with instant access to more Demos from the same Talent without drilling down individual profiles.
I can’t add Reels – it is locked?
You unlock Reels with 15+ approved Samples OR with a verified home studio. The vast majority of Talent gain their verified status by being selected for a Live Directed session (our qualified audio engineers ensure the home studio quality is professional). Due to their accuracy and detail, Samples are still the best way for you to be discovered in the search, so we don’t want to degrade their power. You can add up to 6 Reels using the blue button at the top of your profile.

What else should I know?
When uploading Reels, ensuring the attributes you choose match the FIRST read is vital because Reels will be available in Demo searches alongside Samples. When your Reels are live, I recommend moving them to the top 6 Featured Demos on your profile.
We’ve heard some fantastic reels over the years, and now that we’ve enabled them on Voquent, we’re excited to listen to yours!
