The Arizona Department of Revenue is offering to refund the $82 million that local businesses paid as part of the Pinal County Road Tax. The road tax, which was supposed to help pay for major roadway projects in Pinal County, was struck down by the Arizona Supreme Court as illegal because of its two-tiered system in March.
