Prescott, AZ – Congressman Paul Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04), issued the following statement after delivering the keynote address at the Yavapai Cattle Growers Association’s (YCGA) Annual Meeting on Saturday, April 2, 2022.
“I am honored to have delivered the keynote address at the Yavapai Cattle Growers Association Annual Meeting this past weekend. Our cattle growers are committed to honoring and preserving the important ranching legacy in Yavapai County while protecting our important beef industry. Our cattlemen are the best stewards of our land and are our country’s best environmentalists, not some out of touch bureaucrat or agency in Washington, D.C.
Unfortunately, I am not convinced that bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. have the best interest of Arizona’s important cattle industry in mind. Too often they want to tell our ranchers how best to manage their cattle and their land. From crippling taxes, record inflation to onerous regulatory mandates, they force their heavy hand on an industry that literally feeds Arizona and much of the world.
Ranching is vitally important to our great state of Arizona. I am grateful to have been asked by the YCGA to speak at their annual meeting and I will continue to fight to ensure Arizona’s cattle industry continues to grow and thrive,” concluded Congressman Gosar.
