Families, like Jeremiah’s, need your support now more than ever.
At 13 days old, Jeremiah was rushed to the emergency room and diagnosed with bacterial meningitis, a life-threatening inflammation of the brain and spinal cord membranes. He spent the next 18 days in the ICU fighting for his life.
Rachael and Jarron were finally able to return home with their son when he was 31 days old. Thanks to the lifesaving care he received from his dedicated doctors and nurses, Jeremiah had no neurological effects, but did experience some mild hearing loss. Today, Jeremiah is a happy, healthy 4-year-old. He still visits Boston Children’s Audiology Program for treatment.
