Samaritan’s Purse

Children in Cambodia are enjoying better health thanks to a Samaritan's Purse clean water project.

WORLD WATER DAY

Clean Water, Healthy Lives

Chivy, an 11-year-old Cambodian schoolgirl, is a bold advocate for clean water in her community. Why? She and her family used to get sick regularly after drinking water from a waste-filled pond near their home—the area’s only source of water. But after Samaritan’s Purse gave her family a simple water filter and brought safe water to her school, Chivy’s health dramatically improved and so did her grades.

However, Chivy’s life was transformed even further—for eternity‍—as our team shared with her the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.Read Chivy’s Story

Not only is Samaritan’s Purse working to provide clean water in the many countries where we work on a regular basis, we are also ready to respond at a moment’s notice to help those affected by devastating natural disasters. In order to better provide emergency water in the critical three-day window following a disaster, we recently developed a portable community water system that can be quickly deployed to supply clean water for up to 10,000 people each day. Learn more about this exciting new tool to assist us as we help the suffering in Jesus’ Name.

He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.
