A Sacaton woman was sentenced to 15 years in prison by a federal judge for stabbing another woman to death on the Gila River Indian Community in 2020 during a heated argument outside a neighbor’s home.
There’s also this interesting story out of Eloy: Police arrested a man at the CoreCivic detention center wanted for first-degree attempted murder out of New Jersey.
Plus, the Casa Grande Elementary School District may make the switch to a four-day school week. The district board will hold a special study session tomorrow to explore the potential change, which the district says is driven by ongoing teacher and staff shortages.
And, in case you missed this story last week, a Maricopa woman faces charges for allegedly shooting at a man multiple times while he drove away with his dog, injuring the dog in the process.
