Friday is finally here! So is the Gourd Festival. After a year off enforced by the pandemic, the annual Wuertz Farm Gourd Festival kicked off today at 9 a.m. The event runs through Sunday at the Pinal County Fairgrounds. See the lineup of entertainment, vendors and more here.

Speaking of Valentine’s Day, a recent consumer study found this surprising candy to be Arizona’s favorite to celebrate the holiday with.
In other entertainment news, the Maricopa Art 4 Heart Festival happens this Saturday, with proceeds going toward helping those with heart disease. The event features more than 30 local artists who sell their work, and is an opportunity for Maricopa High School Graphic Muse students, the community and local artists to get together.
Also happening this weekend is the Battle of the Bands. Three area bands will face off Saturday for a cash prize and a chance to play at the annual Florence Music Festival. The show starts at 4 p.m.
