Plans for new apartments to be located just west of Pinal Avenue and south of Kortsen Road as well as new language in the city’s zoning text were approved by the city council earlier this week. The possible build-to-rent community would add 225 units at The Park at Three Point, while city officials say the changes to residential zoning districts will make for more visually dynamic, as opposed to “cookie-cutter,” neighborhoods.
Also in today’s headlines, a Maricopa man accused of getting into a yelling match with an officer and fleeing from police on a bicycle now faces several charges including resisting arrest.
Plus, residents of the town of Florence will soon be getting an efficient way to place service requests and report problems. The Town Council voted earlier this week to pursue an agreement with an online portal provider used by other nearby cities call See Click Fix. |
