Good afternoon RJ,

Today is the last Friday in January — and we’re already about a month into the new year. Pat yourself on the back for sticking with any New Year’s resolutions you might have made earlier this month, or take a moment to reassess any that may not be working out the way you hoped.

Need ideas on how to kick some bad habits and stay committed to your New Year’s resolutions? We sat down with Davis Plunkett, a clinical social worker who is the director of integrated behavior health at Sun Life Family Health Center, to get a few tips on how to do away with bad habits once and for all. Check out the interview here.

Plus, here’s what else is happening in local entertainment and recreation news:

An Eloy-based ministry is planning a gala featuring Elvis tribute artist Jim Westover to benefit their food pantry and provide funding for those facing unexpected financial challenges.

And happening in the Valley, a celebration of Scottish heritage complete with three days of Highland pageantry, pipes and live music is scheduled for early March at Gilbert Regional Park. The festival will take place just as the 57th annual Phoenix Scottish Games get underway.
