Good morning RJ,
Some breaking news for the town of Florence this morning: Florence native Adolfo “Harpo” Celaya has died. Celaya, who survived America’s worst at-sea disaster in World War II and received the Congressional Gold Medal with other survivors last year, died Friday at the age of 94.
Richmond American Homes is seeking to fill out the rest of the Cottonwood Ranch neighborhood, located south of Kortsen Road and east of Pueblo Drive. Their proposal will be considered by the Casa Grande Planning and Zoning Commission this week.
And some good news for Johnson Utilities customers: Long-term customers of the former utility company may see a credit on their bills next year in light of a more than $10 million settlement in a class action lawsuit that was filed earlier this month.
For subscribers: Sticking to a diet this time of the year can be tough. Between Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year and — if you’re anything like us — an abundance of family gatherings in between, it’s tough to resist the urge of having one more bite of those sugar cookies, and the pumpkin pie, and those brownies your aunt makes only once a year. This little bakery in Coolidge, however, is serving up yummy treats year-round designed specifically for those following a ketogenic diet.

Plus, an important reminder for our print readers: We will no longer print separate weekly issues of the Coolidge Examiner, Eloy Enterprise, Arizona City Independent and Florence Reminder. Instead, all four publications will become part of a new edition featured in the B section of our Tri-Valley Dispatch. This change goes into effect beginning this Thursday. |
