Great news: wildfire prevention and drought relief headed to AZ communities

Rj,

Arizonans know all too well that our state’s economic future depends on securing our water future – and protecting our communities from wildfires.
We have great news to share for Arizona – the historic, bipartisan infrastructure law I led over the past year is now providing millions of dollars for those big priorities in our state: drought relief and wildfire prevention and recovery.
Click HERE to hear me explain how our law addresses these AZ priorities.

Our Infrastructure Investment and Jobs law invests $50.5 million for critical drought relief measures and $61 million for wildfire prevention and recovery in Arizona in 2022 alone.
Arizonans know that job-growth, economic opportunities, and the health of our communities all depend on clean and sustainable water – and we all have seen the devastating effects of increasingly frequent wildfires on Arizonans’ lives and livelihoods. We must secure Arizona’s water future and invest in wildfire prevention and cleanup.
I was honored to lead bipartisan infrastructure negotiations, and I’m so proud folks on both sides of the aisle came together to support our law, which is now making historic investments in water and wastewater infrastructure, as well as systems to prevent the impacts of wildfires and boost recovery from such disasters.
On behalf of Arizona, I’ll continue working with colleagues in both parties to find solutions to the issues that matter most to everyday families.

Sincerely,
Kyrsten
