Everytown for Gun Safety

RJ,

Gun violence is a tragic part of daily life in the United States. It is the leading cause of death for children and teens in America, and every day it kills more than 100 people and wounds hundreds more.

That’s where we—Everytown for Gun Safety, Moms Demand Action, and Students Demand Action—come in. Together, our movement is working to address all aspects of gun violence.

We are a grassroots movement of parents, students, survivors, educators, gun owners, community leaders, and concerned citizens working together to fight for public safety measures that can protect people from gun violence. Here’s a little bit more about who we are and what we do:

We work with local, federal, and state governments to enact and implement policies that reduce gun violence.

We support candidates who are running for office and have demonstrated that they will govern with gun safety.

The Everytown Support Fund’s research team tracks data and measures the impact, scale, and implications of gun violence and the policies that can prevent it.

Everytown Law represents survivors of gun violence, provides legal advice and representation to cities and elected officials, and challenges dangerous gun laws.

Everytown Support Fund provides support to a diverse community of survivors that are putting a human face on the gun violence crisis by sharing their stories.

The Everytown Support Fund educates the public on the NRA’s scandals and the allegations of corruption it faces.

Working with Moms Demand Action volunteers and partner organizations in the gun violence prevention movement, the Everytown Support Fund educates and builds awareness about gun safety through projects including Be SMART, One Thing You Can Do, and Wear Orange.

We’re so happy to welcome you to our movement to end gun violence. Everytown’s work starts with you taking action in your communities. So, we wanted to share some next steps you can take right now:

  • Volunteer with Moms Demand Action. Moms Demand Action has chapters in every state and Washington, D.C.—join us! From making phone calls, to helping plan events, or just sharing our actions with your friends and family, our chapters need your help to win more victories at the local level!
  • Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter—Stay connected on the latest breaking news, campaigns and resources that you can share with your networks.

Together, we’ll fight for a brighter, safer future for all.

More soon,

Everytown and Moms Demand Action
