Eddie Robinson

Dear Peter,

Baseball is lucky to have had Eddie Robinson. A life well lived and a legend forever.

The MLBPAA is incredibly saddened with the passing of legendary Eddie Robinson, who spent nearly 70 years in professional baseball as a player, scout, coach and respected executive. Eddie was the oldest living former Major Leaguer at the time of his passing earlier this month. He was a 4-time All-Star and a member of the 1948 world champion Cleveland Indians. In his retirement, he became active with the Major League Alumni Services Board, was elected and served as Chairman. He gave tirelessly of his time and talents to improve the lives of former players.

Sadly, we have lost many baseball greats in 2021. The MLBPAA online necrology is updated often in remembrance of all baseball legends.

Sincerely,

Brooks Robinson, MLBPAA President1‌631 M‌esa A‌ve., C‌opper B‌uilding, S‌uite D, C‌olorado S‌prings, C‌O 8‌0906
