Make sure you have drug coverage

Peter,

You’re approaching the end of your Initial Enrollment Period: November 30, 2021. It looks like you have Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) and/or Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance), but haven’t enrolled in a Medicare Part D drug plan.

If you don’t have creditable drug coverageand go without it after your Initial Enrollment Period is over, you may have to pay a Part D late enrollment penalty when you join a Medicare drug plan.

You still have time to enroll in a Medicare drug plan. Visit Medicare.gov to compare options and choose a plan.

Find a Plan

Note: If you already have creditable drug coverage, like from an employer, union, or other group plan, that’s great! They’ll send you a Notice of Creditable Drug Coverage each year. Hold onto that notice in case you decide to join or switch to a Medicare drug plan later. If your coverage is not creditable, you may face a penalty if you don’t join a Medicare drug plan now.

Sincerely,

The Medicare Team
