Oct. 18 is Global Champagne Day, which makes it a fun time to experiment with recipes that incorporate this bubbly drink — whether meals or desserts. 

Bill Coates, local journalist and longtime columnist for the Casa Grande Dispatch, has a new book out! The novel, entitled “Needles Arizona,” follows the story of the fictional Billy Olsen, a Pima-Norwegian “cactus cop” as he helps a deputy sheriff to solve the murder of a cactus thief.
