This is what happens when you get rid of all the scouts and depend on sabermetrics and analytics to evaluate players. I don’t think they have a category in sabermetrics and analytics for character or “team player”. He hasn’t changed since college, so it wasn’t a big surprise to anyone. Oh, well, what’s a $100 million down the drain.
