What can I expect during a wellness visit?
- A review of your medical and family history
- Height, weight, blood pressure and other routine measurements
- Recommendation of preventive screenings, care plans or treatment options
- Updating a list of current providers and medications
- Detection of any cognitive impairment
Annual Wellness Visits are covered by Medicare. A copay may be required if you need to be seen for something else. Call your health plan or Medicare directly to verify your coverage. Annual Wellness Visits are covered by most insurance providers when scheduled at least 365 days apart. Please call your doctor’s office and discuss the best appointment date for you.
