Summer seems to be flying by, and it is hard to believe we are almost half way through August. If you have not yet planned your visit to the National Museum of the United States Army, now is the time! Enjoy the summer days with a walk along our Path of Remembranceleading to the entrance of the Museum, with more than 8,000 commemorative bricksinstalled, each one telling its own story. See the stories continue from the Path of Remembrance to the Soldiers’ Stories pylons that bring you into the Lobby and lead you to the first gallery.
Add to your Museum visit with AHF’s Virtual Reality and Motion Theater Experiences! Three offerings available, great for all ages. Get into the action and enjoy the immersive Army Action Center. Tickets available for purchase on site and online!
While visiting, fuel up at the Museum Café with fresh food, fast. Social distancing seating and contactless ordering make your dining experience safe and easy.

Purple Heart Day
The Army Historical Foundation’s Chairman, General Shinseki, spoke at George Washington’s Mount Vernon this past Saturday, August 7th, for Purple Heart Day. AHF was honored to join Mount Vernon and the Military Order of the Purple Heart for this commemoration. Watch it here.
1812 Overture Concert
The 1812 Overture Concert was live at the Museum this past Sunday, August 8th, and highlighted special performing ensembles from The U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own”. If you were unable to attend, you can still enjoy the recording from home!

Accessibility Programming:
At Ease: For Visitors Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
Saturday, August 14 7:30-9:00 a.m. EDT
Visitors who are deaf or hard of hearing are invited for a morning at the Museum, offering multiple accommodations that include assisted listening devices, printed audio tour scripts, and screen readers. Sign language interpreters also will be available.
