This Week With Gosar

PRESCOTT, AZ – Here are our top stories…

It’s that Time of Year Again!

At long last, Congress has adjourned, and I am able to leave Washington, D.C. for the beauty we call Arizona. I have events all over and I hope to see some of you in person. The August district work period is a great time to travel throughout the congressional district meeting with you.

Reminder:  In case you didn’t see it, I sponsored a bill to eliminate all federal taxes on social security benefits. As far as I am concerned, that’s your money, and if you are getting social security payments you are done paying taxes. Read my press release on this here.

I am also pursuing a 10-year moratorium on immigration. We are being invaded and we have an administration in the White House that is violating our federal immigration laws and not faithfully executing the laws. Read my press release on this here

Gosar Launches The Gosar Minute

You may have seen it for yourself already. This week, with the help of my amazing staff, I launched “The Gosar Minute” on the Gosar News Network. My team will discuss various current events in a short, one minute video clip and my take or involvement in them.

Click on the video to see Beni Harmony talk about illegal immigration.

Click on the video to see James Esperne talk about the CDC’s mask mandate reversal.

Click on the video to see Faith Graham talk about prisoner abuse.

On August 3rd the group Republicans for National Renewal said“The Gosar Minute is our new favorite news network.”

Best Public Debate this Week:

My colleague Rep. Crenshaw opined that pulling out of Afghanistan “was a terrible idea.” My other colleague Rep. Matt Gaetz replied, “Invading Afghanistan and staying 20 years was a terrible idea, actually.” I judge Matt Gaetz the winner and wholeheartedly agree.

Gosar Joins Biggs in Effort to Impeach Secretary Mayorkas

This week, I joined my fellow Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs in calling for the impeachment of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas and plan to file articles of impeachment against the border chief in the next few weeks.  As a result of his open border polices, Secretary Mayorkas is not fit to serve as the Secretary of Homeland Security.  Under his direction, two million illegal aliens will cross our southern border this year and drugs continue to pour in.  Secretary Mayorkas has failed to uphold his oath of office.  As a result, the health, safety and security of the American people is at risk.

Did you know?  Nuclear energy is the only carbon free energy that can be relied upon 24/7—365 days a year?  That is why I am now the Chairman of the Nuclear Energy Caucus.  Look for future updates on this…unless you don’t use electricity, in which case don’t worry about it.

Gosar to Homeland Security and Health and Human Services Secretaries: I Want Answers!

This week, I sent a letter to Secretary of Homeland Security Mayorkas and Secretary of Health and Human Services Becerra requesting important information regarding the destination within the interior of our nation of the heavy illegal migration through our nation’s southern border. Biden’s border crisis is raging completely out of control. Border crossings remain unsustainably high.  The Customs and Border Patrol apprehended nearly 189,000 criminals in June, and they estimate more than 180,000 more will have been apprehended in the month July. These are just the numbers we know about.  Many more cross into our country without getting caught. We are on pace to allow two million illegal aliens into our country this year. Where they go once they get here is anyone’s guess.

The wide-open southern border is facilitating illegal entry into our country while the Biden Administration is failing miserably as it welcomes them in.  For that reason, I requested Secretaries Mayorkas and Becerra provide me with the locations where illegal immigrants have been transported, including the total number and how many of them have been tested of COVID-19 and how many have tested positive.

Heads Up:  A ridiculous “infrastructure” bill is winding its way through the Senate.  It includes nutty Green New Deal non-sense, including making you pay a tax on every mile you drive. I will oppose this massive spending waste, particularly since it builds little infrastructure.
