Celebrating 100 Sun Devil owned and led businesses

On June 17, the Alumni Association honored 132 alumni during the Sun Devil 100 award ceremony. Companies are ranked for their year-over-year revenue growth for the past three years. This year, the number one fastest growing business, Pocket Your Dollars, has had 1,650% growth over the past three years. The company is led by CEO Anthony Sarandrea, who graduated from ASU in 2013 with a business management degree. His advice for future entrepreneurs? Be “addicted to failure and find confidence in failure.”See the ranked list of honorees

Join fellow alumni in welcoming the Class of 2025 and their families to Sun Devil Nation on the virtual ASU campus during “Spark a Connection” on July 15 and 22. New students, alumni, family members and ASU staff will interact using avatars and hear more about the Sun Devil Alumni Network and how you can connect with fellow Sun Devils, no matter where you are in the world.Learn more



The inaugural cohort of the the one-year Master of Science in Innovation and Venture Development will soon be joining our #ASUAlumni family.

Founders have developed ventures in agriculture, the arts, energy, education, eldercare technology, tech support and automation, wine-making and the built environment. If you’d like to earn a STEM Master of Science degree and launch a venture in one year, there’s still time to apply.

ASU welcomes largest incoming cohort of Medallion Scholars

The ASU Alumni Association recently welcomed 37 incoming first-year students into the Medallion Scholarship program, the Alumni Association’s signature scholarship initiative. The Medallion Scholarship program is a four-year educational program focused on leadership, scholarship and service.

ASU creates innovative virtual campus with PXL

ASU partnered with Los Angeles-based creative agency PXL to develop a virtual ASU campus to engage with students, families and alumni. The interactive platform allows for personalization of avatars so guests can socialize with other event attendees using proximity audio, video calls and custom ASU emojis.

Easing your pup into post-pandemic life

ASU researchers share tips to help dogs adjust as humans head back to office. “Dogs are creatures of routine, and when their routine is disrupted, it can cause them a great deal of stress,” said Clive Wynne, ASU professor and director of the Canine Science Collaboratory.

ASU poet Natalie Diaz wins Pulitzer Prize

ASU Department of English associate professor Natalie Diaz has been awarded the 2021 Pulitzer Prize in Poetry for her collection “Postcolonial Love Poem,” which has been described as “an anthem of desire against erasure.”Read more news
