Chardonnay from Monterey, Central Coast, California
This Diora La Splendeur du Soleil Chardonnay is a beautiful, golden hue, with aromas of toasted oak mingle with light spice notes of cinnamon. The delicate flavors of vanilla bean give way to a lovely, soft and light buttery layer. This reminds one of a rich, yet delicate creme brulee with a soft, round mouthfeel that will pair beautifully with lobster or sauteed scallops. The light acidity and long finish of this wine will also be a great accompaniment to a variety of dishes.
This wine opens with aromas of perfume and bright red fruits like cherries and cranberries with subtle notes of cinnamon red hots. The wine has a nice acidic balance and it exhibits bright red fruits of cherry and cranberry. It finishes with a hint of pepper along with toasty barrel notes.
The 2017 Affinity Cabernet is gorgeous, with up-front ripe and plummy fruit. The older vines at La Londe Vineyard deliver lovely, ripe red cherry and raspberry jam on the palate, with hints of vanilla and sweet spice rounding out this wine`s inviting personality. This release shows well upon release with a beautiful, inherent suppleness, but a year or two (or a decade) of cellar time will help the wine show its best. Blend: 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petite Verdot, 7% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 4% Malbec. This subtly tarry blend of cabernet sauvignon with merlot, cabernet franc, malbec and petit verdot, offers a nicely resolved array of blackcurrant aromas and flavors with fine and fresh tannins. Drink or hold.
A beautiful nose of fresh pear, pineapple, and jasmine with hints of nutmeg, fig, and toasted oak. The mouth is clean and bright, filled with flavors of baked apple, lemon, and lime. Firm acidity provides a crisp finish of citrus, mineral, and spice.
Predominately based in the volcanic red soils of the Dundee Hills and Eola-Amity Hills, this Reserve Pinot Noir showcases spicy elegance and silky texture. The 2018 vintage introduces our first Reserve with a touch of marine sedimentary soils from the Giving Tree Vineyard, located in the foothills of the Coast Range, providing just a touch of muscle. Raspberry, dark plum, and cardamom and an underlying minerality weave with delicate, polished tannin and dynamic energy. Cold soaking and fermenting entirely in small, 1.5-ton fermenters enhances silkiness, while 20% whole cluster inclusion contributes freshness, layered complexity, and vibrant length.
Scharffenberger Rose is made by the traditional methode champenoise process, whereby the wines are individually bottle-fermented before being riddled and disgorged. Most of the base wines underwent malolactic fermentation, which softens and rounds out the blend. The grapes are sourced from our vineyards in the Anderson Valley as well as other premium quality vineyards in Mendocino County with whom we have long term contracts. This type of vineyard selection allows us to choose from the best vineyards in the area, which enables us to produce our trademark cuvee. The wine has a pale salmon hue with integrated aromas of fresh raspberry jam and wild strawberries on a cream covered pastry base. The flavors are layered, round, fresh, fruity and long.
Syrah/Shiraz from Rutherford, Napa Valley, California
Visually stunning with its vivid, dark-ruby color, the 2017 RC Reserve Syrah shows classic varietal aromas of ripe blueberry, black licorice, black olive and garrigue (wild thyme, rosemary, lavender). The wine is generous and dense on the palate and remains warm and seamless throughout the long, luxurious finish.
Niner Bootjack Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 (3 Case Buy)
Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles, Central Coast, California
With such a classic vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon, their winemaking goal was to highlight the dark cherry flavors that naturally developed in the vineyard. This vintage of our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon has an extremely elegant and finessed palate, with natural acidity that makes it an exceptional wine to enjoy with dinner.
The 2016 vintage was the beginning of the end of the drought in Napa Valley. The vines were finally given a break with close to normal amount of rain in the winter preceding the vintage. 2016 was cooler overall than 2014 & 2015, it was warm and dry, but without the massive spikes in temperature that challenged the previous two years. 2016 was the kind of year where even a blind squirrel can find a nut, so most wineries could coast along and make good wine. We don`t coast, so 2016 was an epic vintage for us, one for the ages.
